Rafting FAQs.

Everything you need to know before your rafting adventure on the Soča River.

Do I need previous rafting experience?

No. Both our Classic and Relaxed Rafting trips are suitable for first-time rafters. Your guide will explain everything you need to know before entering the river.

Do I need to know how to swim?

Basic swimming skills are required for rafting. If you have any concerns about swimming, let us know before booking and we will help you choose the most suitable trip.

What should I bring?

Bring a swimsuit, towel and dry clothes for after the trip. We provide the technical rafting equipment.

Is rafting suitable for children?

Yes. We offer Relaxed Rafting specifically for families with younger children, while Classic Rafting is better suited to older children and those looking for a more adventurous experience.

What happens if it rains?

Rafting can usually take place in the rain — you are going to get wet anyway. We check river and weather conditions daily and make the final decision based on safety.

Is all equipment included?

Yes. We provide the necessary rafting equipment, including a wetsuit, neoprene shoes, helmet and life jacket.

Where do we meet?

We meet at our adventure center in Kobarid. After getting ready, we drive together to the starting point on the Soča River.

What is the difference between Classic and Relaxed Rafting?

Classic Rafting offers more rapids and a more adventurous experience. Relaxed Rafting takes place on an easier section of the river and is designed especially for families with younger children.
