Our story.
Soča Pulse grew from a simple idea — to share the river, canyons and places we grew up with in the same way we experience them ourselves.
Born & raised in Kobarid
This is home.
The Soča Valley for us isn't just where we work. It's where we live and where we grew up.
We spent our childhood surrounded by these mountains, rivers and forests. The Soča River was part of everyday life long before it became our workplace.
Growing up in Kobarid gave us a connection to this place that we now want to share with everyone who comes to experience it with us.
How it started
From a local idea to Soča Pulse.
The idea of starting our own adventure company had been in our minds for years. After many conversations between two friends, the time after the pandemic finally gave us the push to stop talking about it and make it happen. In March 2022, Soča Pulse officially began.
Neither of us came from the outdoor tourism industry. But the outdoors had always been part of our lives — rafting, canyoning, climbing, hiking and exploring the mountains and rivers around our home.
For us, starting Soča Pulse was also about choosing to build something here in Kobarid. Instead of leaving our hometown in search of work somewhere else, we wanted to create our own path and share the place we grew up in with people from around the world.

Dani
Co-founder & Guide
Born and raised in Kobarid, Dani grew up exploring the mountains, rivers and canyons of the Soča Valley. The outdoors have always been a big part of his life — and when he is not guiding, you will probably still find him somewhere outside.
Žiga
Co-founder & Guide
Born and raised in Kobarid, Žiga grew up around the Soča River and even trained in kayaking as a kid. Today, he spends more time on the river with our guests than anyone else. Easygoing, funny and always up for a conversation, Žiga makes sure everyone enjoys the ride.
Alan
Driver
Alan has been part of the rafting, canyoning and kayaking world in the Soča Valley for many years. You will often find him behind the wheel of our van, getting everyone where they need to be. Always smiling and attentive to our guests, Alan makes the journey part of the adventure.
